Biography

William Buchanan is Professor of Computing at Edinburgh Napier University, a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and one of the UK's most prolific authors of computing textbooks. His research and teaching span network security, digital forensics, intrusion detection, and systems architecture. Computer Busses (Arnold/Butterworth-Heinemann, 2000) is a comprehensive engineer's guide to on-board interconnect standards, protocol layers, and selection criteria for embedded and workstation designs.
