Biography
Verena Ruth Tschudin is a Swiss-born British nurse, counsellor and writer on nursing ethics, trained as a nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London from 1963 with later midwifery and ward-sister appointments and a counsellor role in the 1980s and early 1990s. Author of Ethics in Nursing: The Caring Relationship and many other texts on ethics and counselling skills for nurses, she was invited by a publisher in 1992–93 to establish a journal on nursing ethics; the result was Nursing Ethics, launched by Edward Arnold in 1994 with Tschudin as founding Editor and Geoffrey Hunt as assistant editor. She continued to edit the journal through the Hodder Arnold years and the 2006 transfer to SAGE.
