Sir Keith Porter

Biography

Sir Keith Porter is a British trauma surgeon and Professor of Clinical Traumatology at the University of Birmingham, with a long consultant career at University Hospitals Birmingham and a central role in the care of UK military casualties through the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine. He was knighted in 2011 for services to trauma medicine. He co-edits the Trauma Care Manual (Hodder Arnold, later Taylor & Francis) with Ian Greaves and Jeff Garner, and serves as an editor of the peer-reviewed journal Trauma.
