Biography
Derick T. Wade is a British neurologist and rehabilitation physician based at Oxford Brookes University's Centre for Movement, Occupation and Rehabilitation Sciences, with a long honorary consultant appointment at the Oxford Centre for Enablement. He is one of the most widely cited authors in stroke rehabilitation and service evaluation, and in 2015 published a four-part "Rehabilitation — a new approach" series setting out a biopsychosocial framework for the field. He served as Editor of Clinical Rehabilitation from 1994 until 2021 — 27 years at the journal's helm, succeeding its first editor Keith Andrews — taking the journal into the SAGE era after the 2006 Hodder Arnold transfer.
