Biography
Darren Rhodes graduated in aeronautical engineering from Loughborough University and completed a PhD there on aircraft design, performance, and noise. He moved into operational analysis with National Air Traffic Services (NATS), becoming a senior analyst and project manager in the Department of Operational Research and Analysis. With Lloyd R. Jenkinson and Paul Simpkin he co-authored Civil Jet Aircraft Design (Arnold, 1999), bringing contemporary performance and environmental modelling perspectives to a textbook aimed at students and early-career aircraft designers.
