Biography

Colin Cooper is a British psychologist whose teaching and writing focus on psychometrics, personality, and individual differences. He taught for many years at Queen's University Belfast before retiring to Canada. Routledge's Individual Differences and Personality—now in a fifth edition—originated as his Arnold introduction to trait models, intelligence, mood, motivation, and modern applications from occupational selection to health. He served as President of the International Society for the Study of Individual Differences (2021–2023) and has received British Psychological Society recognition for his textbooks.
