Biography
Allan Bonnick, CEng MIMechE, trained and practised as an automotive technician before becoming Principal Lecturer and Head of Motor Vehicle Studies at Eastbourne College of Technology and Art. He is the author or co-author of many vocational and higher-education texts on automotive science, electronics, powertrains, and maintenance—including successive editions of A Practical Approach to Motor Vehicle Engineering and Maintenance with Derek Newbold—supporting BTEC, NVQ, and professional updating routes. After retirement he contributed to the Institute of Road Transport Engineers and received the Mackenzie Junner Award for work on electronically controlled commercial-vehicle systems.
