Biography

Polly Edmonds qualified through St Mary's, trained across general medicine, oncology and palliative care, and took up her King's consultant post in 1997. She built one of the UK's largest acute-hospital palliative teams, publishing widely on myeloma symptom control, hospital-based palliative referral, and end-of-life care during the COVID-19 surge. She appears as chapter editor and evidence lead across editions of Management of Advanced Disease (Hodder Arnold), the textbook that anchors the UK diploma in palliative medicine.
