Mike Cadogan

Emergency Physician; medical educator

Biography

Mike Cadogan read arts at Oxford and medicine at Edinburgh, trained in orthopaedics before switching to emergency medicine in Brisbane and settling in Western Australia. He is best known globally for Life in the Fast Lane, the open-access emergency-medicine website he launched in 2008. Emergency Medicine: Diagnosis and Management for Hodder Arnold grew out of the same bedside teaching ethos—case-led chapters aligned with Australasian and UK emergency curricula and the procedural checklists used in modern resuscitation rooms.
