Biography
Graeme Catto trained and taught in Aberdeen before building an international reputation in transplant immunology, renal bone disease and chronic-kidney-disease service design. He led Guy's and St Thomas' academically during the merger years, returned to Aberdeen as emeritus professor, and chaired the General Medical Council through the post–Shipman regulatory tightening. Nephrology in Clinical Practice for Arnold's Clinical Practice Series distilled that bedside experience for working renal teams and senior trainees.
