Biography
Bernard Knight (CBE) combined heavy Home Office caseloads with teaching generations of forensic trainees. He inherited Keith Simpson's single-author textbook and expanded Simpson's Forensic Medicine through colour-atlas editions for Edward Arnold and Hodder Arnold, later sharing editorial duties with specialist co-authors as English forensic medicine absorbed DNA identification, traffic medicine and mass-fatality planning. He is also known for the Crowner John medieval-mystery novels written under the pen name Bernard Knight.
